In this first photograph from the series titled “The Body and Its Shadows,” I sought to capture the duality and depth of the human body through the subtle interplay of light and shadow. Inspired by the work of the renowned photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, I aimed to highlight the strength and vulnerability of the human form.
The model, Karyne-Charlotte, embodies this duality with a grace and power that pierces through the image. Her hands crossed over her chest add a dimension of protection and mystery, while the shadows accentuate the curves and muscles of her body, revealing a raw and authentic beauty.
This photograph is an exploration of the complexity and richness of the human body, an ode to the light and shadows that sculpt it.
